Prof.Dr. Ingo Autenrieth is an internationally renowned microbiologist. He is Medical Director of the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene of the University Clinic in Tübingen (Germany), where he is also dean of the medical faculty. Prof. Autenrieth’s clinical studies focus on novel molecular diagnostic methods for diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections. Prof. Autenrieth has been the official speaker for the Centre for Infection Medicine, DFG-study groups, the national Genome Research Network and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Clinical Research Tübingen. He serves on the supervisory board of CenTrial, as managing director at the Interfaculty Institute for Microbiology and Infection Medicine' and on the editorial board of the International Journal of Medical Microbiology and of Infection and Immunity.
Professor Dr. Tobias Welte is an acknowledged expert in pneumology and intensive care medicine. He leads the Division of Pneumology at the renowned Medical School in Hannover Germany, specializing in respiratory disease and antibiotic resistance. He has been head of the Respiratory Intensive Care Assembly of the European Respiratory Society and currently serves as board member of the Stiftung Ambulant Erworbene Pneumonie (foundation for community acquired pneumonia, CAPNETZ), and the Clinical Study Center Hannover. Prof. Welte is president or fellow of various societies for intensive care medicine, in particular for pneumology. He is also a member of various editorial boards in national and international journals.
