Oliver Schacht, PhD, is a well-known expert in the diagnostics industry with a distinguished career at Epigenomics AG. He served as CFO of Epigenomics AG (Berlin, Germany) and as CEO for Epigenomics, Inc. (Seattle, USA). He has an extensive track record in strategy development and implementation, fund-raising (including IPO), finance, M&A, and alliance negotiation. Oliver Schacht holds a diploma in European Business Administration from the European School of Business in Reutlingen and London, as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. degree from the University of Cambridge (UK). During his tenure at Mercer Management Consulting, he worked on projects in M&A, growth strategies and reorganization in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other sectors. To Curetis, he brings a strong background in the molecular diagnostics industry ranging from technology development through discovery and clinical validation to the market launch of molecular tests.

With 25 years of professional experience at Hewlett Packard and other major medical device companies, Andreas Boos has a proven, international track record in developing and implementing solutions in patient monitoring and in molecular and point-of-care diagnostics. With a degree in electrical engineering, Andreas has successfully applied project and program management skills to lead the development of several innovative and commercially successful medical products for the global market. Alongside an intimate understanding of customer needs, he brings a thorough knowledge of quality systems, standards, and the regulatory approval processes to Curetis.

Johannes Bacher combines more than 15 years of R&D and management experience with a strong background in international project management, finance, and setting up organizational structures, which puts him in an excellent position to manage Curetis' operations. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and has worked for several international medical device companies, such as Hewlett Packard and Philips Medical Systems.

Gerd Luedke has more than 20 years of experience in assay development for research and for analytical and diagnostic systems, and has experience in managing international multisite projects. He was responsible for molecular diagnostics assay design and the development of clinical tests at Philips Medical Systems, and worked as project manager for microfluidic systems at Agilent Technologies before joining Curetis. Gerd has a doctorate in Cancer Biology (University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland) and a degree in Technical Biology (University of Stuttgart, Germany).

Before joining Curetis, Anne Thews was Marketing Manager at Philips Medical Systems. She previously held leading marketing and sales support positions at Beckman Coulter. She has achieved an impressive track record during the past 20 years both in strategic and tactical marketing, and is well recognized in the relevant professional and academia networks. Her combined professional experience as a marketing specialist with international responsibilities, as a trained medical doctor (Internal Medicine), and as manager in charge of a clinical diagnostics laboratory for many years (University Hospital Mainz, Germany) make her a valuable asset to Curetis.

Dr. Klaus Brinkmann joined Curetis as Director Sales in November 2011. For the past 15 years, he has held senior commercial management roles in the in-vitro diagnostics industry. He has an outstanding track record in commercialization of complex IVD products (instrument platforms as well as test kits) in the area of immunology, traditional microbiology, and molecular-based infectious disease testing. In several sales positions of growing responsibility at Beckman Coulter, Becton Dickinson and Bio-Rad, he has gained extensive expertise is setting-up commercial infrastructures and leading sales teams in very competitive markets ensuring commercial success. His strong customer network is a valuable addition to the Curetis team. Klaus Brinkmann studied chemistry and holds a doctorate of the University of Giessen.

Heiko Schorr joined Curetis as Head of Finance & Controlling in March 2012 after almost 20 years of industry experience in varying accounting, treasury, finance, controlling and reporting roles of growing management responsibilities. Heiko has a track record in building and managing teams in large corporates as well as entrepreneurially-driven medium-sized companies. He has implemented ERP systems (Navision) and has built budgeting and reporting systems for multiple sites and international subsidiaries. In his previous positions as Head of Finance and Controlling at Betec Electronic GmbH, as well as Intercompany Accountant at Yves Rocher GmbH, Heiko has gained invaluable expertise that he brings to Curetis. Heiko Schorr holds a business degree (Ökonom IFRS) from FH Nürtingen, is a certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter, Chamber of Commerce Reutlingen) and completed an apprenticeship as Tax and Economic Assistant at the Chamber of Tax Attorneys in Stuttgart.

Dr. Helmut Hilbert joined Curetis as Head of Business Development in 2013. Prior to that, he was Associate Director Corporate Business Development at Qiagen. Helmut Hilbert has more than ten years of business and corporate development experience and built a strong track record in licensing, mergers and acquisitions, technology transfer and innovation management. At Qiagen, he was responsible for scouting novel technologies as well as evaluating potential acquisition targets and investment opportunities, including contract negotiation, due diligences and post-merger integration.
